OUR MISSION
Founded on transformation and resilience, our company was born from a pivotal moment in 2018 when our founder, Steve, encountered two life-altering challenges—a cancer diagnosis and the sudden loss of his corporate career. These events sparked a profound re-evaluation of his purpose, happiness, and values. This reflection led Steve to leave behind a 25-year corporate career to pursue entrepreneurship and found his leadership and executive coaching practice.

OUR FOUNDER
Steve Disselhorst (MBA, CPCC, PCC) is an author, facilitator, leadership and executive coach, and the founder and CEO of Steve Disselhorst Leadership Coaching based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He specializes in facilitation, leadership development, and executive coaching. He aims to improve engagement by addressing conflict, developing communication skills, strengthening relationships, fostering team cohesion, and promoting psychological safety and a sense of belonging. Steve adopts a holistic approach to leadership development that integrates all aspects of the human being, including doing, feeling, and thinking.
He is best known for his ability to build trust, create connections, shift perspectives, apply accountability, and challenge the status quo. Steve has collaborated with individual contributors, managers, directors, and senior executives across a wide array of industries, including Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations, and government agencies, such as Genentech, Gilead, LinkedIn, Reddit, Coinbase, Stripe, TripAdvisor, Airbnb, Zynga, Waymo, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Olsson, Theatre Rhinoceros, San Francisco Health Plan, and the City of South San Francisco.
Steve brings extensive leadership experience across industries, managing teams of over 100 and specializing in HR, operations, sales and marketing, coaching, and DEI consulting. He has also served in key nonprofit and government roles, including the San Mateo LGBTQ Commission and Our Family Coalition’s board.
STEVE OUTSIDE OF WORK
Outside of work, Steve has traveled to over 25 countries, is fluent in Spanish, and has studied abroad in both Germany and Spain. He is the author of the memoir " Determined To Be Dad. " An avid outdoorsman, often found hiking, running, or walking during his free time. He is the proud father of two energetic children: Matthew (9) and Kaitlyn (13).
